Customization Tips for Logos, Text, and Artwork

Use these artwork guidelines to get the cleanest results when personalizing gifts at CustomJoy.com. Many products support names, dates, monograms, logos, and custom artwork. The better the file quality, the cleaner the engraving or customization will look.

Best file formats

Vector files usually produce the best results because they can be resized cleanly without becoming blurry. Recommended vector formats include SVG, EPS, AI, and PSD.

If you do not have a vector file, upload a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background. Avoid screenshots, low-resolution images, photos of logos, or files with busy backgrounds.

Logo upload tips

Use a simple, high-contrast logo whenever possible. Thin lines, tiny text, gradients, shadows, and very detailed artwork may need to be simplified for engraving.

Text personalization tips

Double-check spelling, capitalization, dates, and initials before placing your order. Shorter text usually looks cleaner on small products such as pens, tags, coasters, and bottle openers.
